I have spent the last thirty years going to shows and trying to be a good dead head helping people,going that extra mile when there is a person in need. I appreciate the effort of you and others. I would give it a 2 but it just doesn't cut it.^. Many of my favorite versions of my favorite Dead songs like Sugaree, Terrapin Station, Peggy-O, Row Jimmy, and the PITB>Uncle John's Band jam is unreal. Don't know if it's the best show ever -- too many great '77 shows to chose from -- but it is up there if you want, in my opinion, the pinnacle of Jerry's playing. I think this show is great. One of the most over hyped shows the Dead ever performed. Don't get me wrong the tunes from the albulm created maybe great jams but the live version of Terrapin always fell apart like no other. yes the best, matrix playin, energy, 5x5x5x5x5star. Just when you think you've heard all the great May 77 shows, along comes another beautiful SHN soundboard mind-blower! Lossless sounds like a blankets over my speaker. All that aside, the show had awesome moments of the Anthem of the year "Eyes"was fabulous,There were more air guitar playing on that tune than any other in my day! Talk abount being dialed in! After taping this show from a WLIR radio broadcast in the early '80's it has to be one of the best I've ever heard. all i have to say is three reasons: scarlet fire estimated. My friend and I pulled into a campground near DeerCreek '91, and the guy next to our spot was blasting this show. Making the shows available in streaming format was a good shot toward trying to compromise, but there is still one huge problem. A few years back I was able to download the last two discs of this show. Not as gritty as he can get later, but on pitch like an opera star. meaning don't ask to patch in. This is the second show I downloaded from the website (I currently have 17 on my iPod), but it's still one of my favorite - highly recommended. This is without a doubt the best Dancin' they ever did. Everyone has their era. Fact: This site is incredible and no other is comparable. One Word: Half-Step! It still amazes me to think back on the total mayhem that was that day, helicopters and all, and to hear how good the music actually was. why complain? This entire second set is filled with gems, and I must say I think this could be one of the best estimated>eyes ever.
