Sixteen-year-old Suzanne Jane Capper died in Withington Community Hospital on 18 December 1992, from multiple organ failure arising from eighty per cent burns after she was deliberately set on fire on 14 December. Loading her into the trunk of a car that Leigh stole, they drove Capper 13 miles to a wooded area near Stockport.
